This is an illustration I made in my Illustration class. For this project I was tasked with creating an illustration that went with an article from The New Yorker called, What We've Lost Playing the Lottery. When I think of the lottery, I think of gas stations and when you stop for a lottery ticket you always see the cigarettes behind the counter, the racks of cheap booze, and the grab and go snacks that pair perfectly with a cold soda pop. With this idea in mind I drew each item and combined it all together to create a solid single illustration. Once the illustration was finalized it was then required that we made it into a working gif. Using small movements I created a simple gif that is eye catching and not too busy since there are already a lot of colors going on.

For this project I used Procreate for the illustration portion of the assignment, then Adobe Photoshop the make the continuous looping gif.
